An Dochas, (Irish for “The Hope),” is an Irish band with cross-cultural influences, presenting traditional Irish music fused with the energy of Rock and the versatility of folk. A driving rhythm section of guitar, bass, and drums supports traditional instruments. They incorporate moving ballads as well as rowdy, comical vocals into their sets creating an emotionally dynamic performance to accompany the explosive (and totally awesome) Irish step dancing of the Haran Irish Dancers. Together, An Dochas and the Haran Irish Dancers have performed to sold-out audiences throughout the U.S.

A rare, triple-threat singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, Alex Ashley creates an electrifying amalgam of insightful lyrics, profound storytelling, sultry, smoky vocals and razor-sharp guitar playing that brings his songs to life with nostalgic effervescence. At just 27 years old, Ashley has been described as “that of a well-seasoned musician with years of traveling [and playing] every juke joint on the road…,” crossing the boundaries of folk, blues and Americana music with new and original songwriting.

Since 1994, Charlie Butts and the Filter Tips have been playing high-energy funky dancin' blues and R&B throughout the Inland Northwest. Honored by the Inland Empire Blues Society as the Best Blues Band in 2012, and recognized as best horn player seven times and twice for the harp, Charlie will tell you that the best part is the musicians he brings with him: "I'm just groovin' to these guys - like standing on the shoulders of giants". Guitar gods & keyboard maestros who can squeeze your soul with a few hand-picked notes, or modulate your mind while shaking your shoes. Or groovemeisters who have that funky groove locked up so tight nobody can take it from you - ever! It's what they call the Filter Tip Magic – there's nothing else like it.

Northern Aliens is a local four piece band specializing in playing awesome & fun music with a whole lot of original tunes thrown in for good measure. These extraterrestrials from a planet up north pride themselves on being a “fun loving” bunch of (human) musicians, playing a variety of styles including blues, reggae, and pop. When they're not busy invading our world they can be found performing regularly at Northern Ales in Kettle Falls. Since 1983, Richard Taylor and his rotating cast of Refugees have tirelessly taken their Northwest brand of reggae to festivals, barter fairs, and venues across Washington and Idaho. Their original rock 'n' rootsy reggae beat grooves with an emphasis on socially conscious lyrics addressing human rights and environmental issues. They also bring intense interpretation to covers both obscure and classic. Driven by a solid rhythmic beat and vocal harmony the Refugees' fine-tuned mix of reggae, funk, Motown soul, and rock will get you up and dancing.

CrossCurrent is a Pacific Northwest band specializing in beautiful and rousing Celtic melodies alternating with foot-stompin' bluegrass! Since its first performance in 2011 the band has ebbed and flowed around the brother-sister duo of Gunnar and Venke Papst. The Celtic flavor of CrossCurrent's style has been inspired by such artists as Natalie MacMaster, Tiller's Folly, Leahy, Nickel Creek, Josh Turner and others. Their playlist includes rambunctious reels and jigs, romantic waltzes, rowdy pub songs, melancholy ballads, timeless hymns...and a little country!

Encampment Stage Acts
Brad Keeler & Jackie Fox are an acoustic duo performing original, traditional and cover songs. Their performances glow with a feeling of home as they explore multiple musical genres rooted in tradition and inspiration. Brad is an award-winning instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, composer and interpreter of vintage music. Jackie’s songwriting is relatable (gettable), her lyrics and vocals paint vivid imagery. Get ready to experience their influences with a great set of listening pleasure.

We're Broken Whistle, a Celtic band of young musicians dedicated to bringing the energetic beauty of Celtic music to our audience. We love sweet vocal harmonies and rich bowed strings, and we play traditional tunes from Ireland and Scotland, plus a few from America, Australia, Cape Breton, and even France (Gallia). Plus a little jazz on the side...
Broken Whistle will be performing at the Pioneer Dance on Sunday, August 6, at 2 pm.
Formed in April of 2012 Moses Willey hit the ground running and has been taking the Inland Northwest by storm ever since with stirring harmony and hard driving, high energy sound. This band of talented musicians tends to push the envelope on Bluegrass-a lot incorporating Folk, Appalachian, and Americana with originals traditional and modern roots music, all played in their own unique style.

Unkle Richard and the Knot Bumpers are a Bluegrass and Gospel music group. Bluegrass is their foundational music style, but they are more than willing to follow the music wherever it takes them, so hang on for the ride!

The Stevens County Stompers will be gracing the Encampment Stage at Rendezvous Days 2017 with their own brand of high-energy dancing. This local troupe of dancers has been performing - and wowwing audiences - throughout Stevens County for 15 years. An annual favorite, you won't want to miss these great performers as they "shake things up" at Rendezvous Days 2017.

Mystical Phoenix takes the stage once again along with their fabulous troupe of accomplished belly dancers. They dance improv/choreo tribal fusion, with a bit of this, that, and the next really cool thing thrown in. You won't want to miss this great exhibition of skill and talent as these marvelous ladies dance their way into the hearts and audiences everywhere.
